    Based on the economic and social development of Caofeidian district in Tangshan, the author analyses the necessity of English teaching reform in vocational colleges, puts forward some basic ideas of teaching reform. Combined with the actual teaching process, the author and related teachers have carried out the exploration and practice of English teaching reform.
