建国初期，我国制定了系统的金融政策，浙江落实了直接接管、私营金融业的社会主义改造等政策，逐步形成了与当时的政治经济发展相契合的大一统的金融体系，在当时资金物资极为匮乏的情况下，有力促进了经济的发展和金融稳定，与此同时，浙江民间金融的发展也因而几乎停滞，直到改革开放之后才又焕发活力。
건국초기，아국제정료계통적금융정책，절강락실료직접접관、사영금융업적사회주의개조등정책，축보형성료여당시적정치경제발전상계합적대일통적금융체계，재당시자금물자겁위궤핍적정황하，유력촉진료경제적발전화금융은정，여차동시，절강민간금융적발전야인이궤호정체，직도개혁개방지후재우환발활력。
Early period after the founding of New China, Our country has worked out systematic financial policy. Zhejiang makes measure such as direct take-over, socialism reforming. It has formed unified financial system conforming to political economic development. In that difficult time, it promoted economic development and stabilized the finance system. Meanwhile, development in private finance in Zhejiang hibernated until the reform and opening-up, it regains vigor.
