Through analysis of the characteristics of students in liberal arts, the paper discusses the meaning of opening the higher mathematics curriculum of liberal arts, the setting principles of teaching objec- tives and contents of higher mathematics of liberal arts. And it puts forwards some reform measures such as in- novating the teaching methods and means of higher mathematics of liberal arts and the construction of teaching material and teachers, etc.
