This paper reviews the progress of the sex pheromone trap in the monitoring and control of the oriental fruit moth by mainly discussing the trap type and trapping factors ,and predicts the future of this field .This paper mainly focuses on the above mentioned aspects and aims to provide the scientific evidences and theoretical bases for the accurate ,simple , economic and effective monitoring and control of the oriental fruit moth .
