The thesis analyzes the operation theory of the linear regulator. The architecture is designed. At the same time, the design specification is made. The stability of the system is discussed by analyzing small signal model. And according to the theory of stability,the compensatory method of capacitance feedback is used to ensure the system operate steadily. Finally, all the modules and the whole system have been simulated by the tools of Spectre under the environment of Cadence. Experimental results show that the output voltage of the system designed is about 9 V and 6 V at normal condition.
