Introduction was made to causes and analysis processes of serious aluminum cylinder deformation of gas insulated met-al-enclosed switchgear. The mathematic model was built by analyzing the working condition and mechanics at the time of packing, transporting and lifting-off cylinder. The finite element analysis software SolidWorks was used to carry out analysis and calculation. At last the verification analysis results of site tests show the real causes of cylinder deformation.
