Sun Tzu, Clausewitz and Mao Zedong all have rich military intelligence thoughts. They share the same views on the importance of intelligence and confidentiality, but they differ from each other in intelligence focus, contents scope, collecting methods and intelligence value. Besides, due to influence of times background, individual world outlook and growth experience, their intelligence thoughts all have limitations. Analyzing the limita- tions and their influence factors can help people comprehensively understand the traditional intelligence thoughts.
