本文基于产品周期理论、质量创新驱动模型和产业内贸易理论分析了经济增长、社会福利和知识产权保护等问题。结果表明，发展中国家模仿创新并生产技术含量较高的目标产品，不仅能提高本国国民的社会福利，而且还有利于促进世界经济的增长。但是，这也会拉开发展中国家和发达国家之间的研发技术差距。严格的知识产权保护则使发展中国家和发达国家的差距越来越大，这对世界经济的增长和社会福利的提高具有负面影响。

This paper analyses the problems of economic growth , social welfare and the protection of intellectual property rights based on product life cycle , quality innovation drive model and intra industry trade model . The results show that the developing countries , innovating or imiating the target products with high technical content not only can improve the national social welfare , but also contribute to promoting the growth of the world economy . However , this will also increase the distance between developing countries and developed countries in R&D technology fields . The strict protection of intellectual property rights will pull open the gap between developing countries and developed countries . And this will also have a negative impact on the growth of the world economy and the improvement of social wel-fare .
