At the US National Book Awards party held several months ago,Jasmyn Ward,a young black female writer,became the most striking writer,whose second novel Salvage the Bones won the award for fiction.The novel tells a story of a family living in the south of America,their poverty and the love among the family members.In this novel realistic writing styles and rhetoric methods such as simile and metaphor are both applied and controversial issues are boldly talked about so that the poverty that the small town in the US south suffered and the amicable bond that the residents demonstrated when faced with the natural disaster are both truly described.
