Based on the boom rings breakage of the water wall, the chemical composition, macro-fracture, microstructure and stress were analyzed, the running, installation and the manufacturing cases were found according to the accident scene, the main reason for the accident was determined. At last, the installing and manufacturing notes were advanced to prevent similar accident.
