Introduction to Software Engineering is an important basic course for the computer majors. It is hard for students to comprehend its abstract contents. Combined with the teaching practice over the years, this paper elaborates how to strengthen the teaching from the perspectives of the importance of the course, case teaching, interactive communication, analogy learning, and cooperative course practice. The results show that the students' interest of learning is aroused and the quality of teaching is improved.
