In order to save power and reduce exhaustion, the small generator group and storage battery have been composed as a mixed power for RTG. The lithium storage battery is taken as major power supply system for RTG in the common status. The principle of power saving of RTG with mixed power and the difference between it and traditional RTG are introduced. The calculating method for power of supply system of RTG with mixed power is illustrated. A new power-saving RTG with lower power is realized.
