In view of specific geological conditions of Jinzhuang Coal Mine, according to the emergency system design re-quirements, the author adopts permanent refuge chamber as an emergency refuge system, and makes a concrete study such as location choice, specific design and basic equipment. In addition, a number of recommendations were put forward for routine maintenance of refuge chamber. Research on the design and maintenance of permanent refuge chamber will play a very cru-cial role for achieving scientific and effective rescue in the accident.
