日语新语和流行语除了具有＂简洁与高效＂、＂合作与排他＂两项语用功能之外,还有＂戏谑与讽刺＂、＂模糊表达＂、＂追求时尚＂等几项功能。文章运用合作原则、会话含义理论和礼貌原则等语用学的一般性原理,对这三项功能进行探析：分析成因,介绍背后隐藏的语用学理论,探讨其在具体的语言交际中所发挥的作用。

This paper attempts to explore the two pragmatic functions of new words and neologisms in Japanese,namely,conciseness and high effectiveness,co-operation and exclusiveness.Based on the general principles of pragmatics,such as Co-operative Principle and Politeness Principle,it makes a probe into the three functions： banter and satire,ambiguous expressions,pursuit of modernity.It also analyses their contributing factors and then introduces the pragmatic functions behind.Meanwhile,it explores their applications to specific verbal communications.
