The classification and technology development of fire-resistant hydraulic fluids are introduced in this paper.HFA fluid with high fire-resistant,high heat transfer efficiency,and low price,has played more important role in water based hydraulic fluids.Micro-emulsion and biodegradable HFAS fluid will become the focus in future.For Hydraulic equipment with high temperature,high pressure,high efficiency and miniaturization,water glycol fire-resistant,which keeps a dominant market share,needs to improve its lubricity in order to prolong the service life of hydraulic equipment.Phosphate ester fire-resistant fluid has been replaced by water glycol fluid and fatty acid ester fluid in the iron and steel industry for its high toxicity and high price.However,phosphate ester,which shows excellent fire-resistant,is still used in the electric power industry.The market share of fatty acid ester fluid is increasing gradually and will be more widely applied in more new fields focusing on safety and environment protection,because domestic fatty acid ester resources and their comprehensive performances are increasing.
