先秦百家争鸣时期,墨学一度同儒学并驾齐驱、分庭抗礼,并称＂显学＂。秦汉以后,墨学作为思想体系和学说逐渐消失、淹没,其终结的原因成为墨学研究者关注的一个焦点。文章遵循余英时先生内在的理路研究方法,从墨家思想内部来寻求终结的原因,认为墨学骤衰主要在于缺乏超越突破与问题意识。

In the period of contention of a hundred schools of thought, Confucianism stood up to Mohist School＇ s doctrine as an equal and called Prominent Subject. But after the Qin and Han Dynasties, Mohist School＇ s doctrine as ideology and theory gradually disappeared and submerged. The major cause of its decline becomes a focus of attention to the researebers on Mohist School＇ s doctrine. This article tries to apply Mr. Yu Yingshi＇ s inner logical research methods to seek the major cause from the Mohist internal thought and concludes that the sudden decline of Mohist School＇ s doctrine mainly due to lacking of surmounting breakthrough and the consciousness of problems.
