αparticle,βparticle andγray can be detected by mica end window GM tubes.In this paper, the testing platform of mica end window GM tubes is set up.The effect of the dead time of the GM tubes is reduced through the leakage count emendation.In addition, the response characteristics of the GM tubes for αand βparticles are stated through detectingαandβradioactive sources.In conclusion, it is researched that mica end window GM tubes are used in detecting a variety of rays.
