Ironmaking technology curriculum is one of important special curriculums to ironmaking and steelmaking students, and the construction and improvement of its principle and practice teaching system are very important to the development of metallurgical colleges and universities and to metallurgical abilities fostering. In this paper, the teaching reform status and characteristics of ironmaking technology curriculum for Hebei Polytechnic University were expatiated emphatically.
