快脉冲直线型变压器驱动源(LTD)技术是一种可以直接获得〈100ns脉冲上升时间的新型脉冲功率技术,在Z箍缩、闪光照相和高功率微波等领域具有重要的应用前景。为了掌握LTD装置设计技术,基于已经研制完成的100kV/100kA快脉冲LTD原型模块,设计了输出电压/电流分别为1 MV/100kA的快脉冲LTD装置。装置由10级LTD模块串联而成,系统总储能为20kJ,次级采用真空磁绝缘传输线结构。装置直径约1.5m,长度约2.2m。根据10级LTD模块串联装置系统电路分析和数值模拟,结果表明在10Ω负载上的输出电压约为1.08MV,上升时间约51ns,脉宽为168ns。同时还针对磁绝缘传输线锥形和直筒形阴极结构建立了简化模型,采用PIC粒子模拟编码对其进行粒子模拟,结果表明,2种结构在负载端的输出电压均约为1MV,输出阻抗接近10Ω,同轴传输线间隙的电子流能够实现磁绝缘。

Fast linear transformer driver(LTD) is a new pulsed power technology that can directly produce fast pulse with rise time less than 100 ns which could be widely used in Z-pinch,radiography,high power microwave and some other research fields.To master the design techniques of LTD,we designed a 1 MV/100 kA fast LTD generator on the basis of 100 kV/100 kA-LTD stage prototype which had been constructed and tested successfully.The generator consists of 10 LTD stages connected in series,and the stored energy is 20 kJ.The outer diameter of the generator is about 1.5 m,at a length of 2.2 m.According to the equivalent circuit simulation,the generator can deliver 1.08 MV fast pulse in 51 ns with 168 ns FWHM into a 10 Ω load.The magnetically insulated transmission line(MITL) geometries of LTD with tapered and straight center conductors was simulated by PIC code.It is shown that the output voltage and the resistance are 1 MV and 10 Ω for both two geometries,respectively.The electron flow in the gap of coaxial transmission line can be magnetically insulated.
