A brief introduction was made on the major achievements of water construction in Guangxi,based on which the author analyzed the compatible relations between current water projects and the general economic layout of Guangxi consisting of two economic zones and one economic belt;discussed the utilization potential of reser-voirs,irrigation zones,water diversion and transmission works;and put forward the concept of further exploring po-tentials and improving layout of water projects in Guangxi.
