Due to some ships are special, it is hard to deifne the type of the ship. So when we check the stability of the ship, it’s a problem to select suitable criteria. In this paper, studying on the applicability of stability criteria of a special barge has been done. The principle of selecting stability criteria has been given and offered reference for this same kind of question.
