In order to streng then the molecular breeding research of rice and improve rice yield ,plant type struc-ture including plant height ,tiller number ,tiller angle and spike characters was reviewed .The research progress of relevant genetics of rice plant type structure was summarized ,and plant type breeding was prospected through genetic engineering .
