西汉石刻隶书处于篆隶嬗变之中,虽然数量少,但有独特的风格。它们的点画姿态逐渐丰富,易圆转线条为方折直线,增加了粗细提按变化,波掠笔法时有所见;字形受材质、刊刻工具等影响,呈现出方平拙朴的自然风貌;结字以方扁取势,重心下移;笔画增减自由,形体尚不定型;章法上或浑然一体,或行列分明,字与字之间一贯而下,保证了纵向行气的贯通。
서한석각대서처우전대선변지중,수연수량소,단유독특적풍격。타문적점화자태축점봉부,역원전선조위방절직선,증가료조세제안변화,파략필법시유소견;자형수재질、간각공구등영향,정현출방평졸박적자연풍모;결자이방편취세,중심하이;필화증감자유,형체상불정형;장법상혹혼연일체,혹행렬분명,자여자지간일관이하,보증료종향행기적관통。
Inscribed stones in the Western Han Dynasty had been in shift from the lesser seal script to the clerical script.They were small in number but unique in style.They were rich in stippling,transforming circular lines into straight ones.There was brushwork of wavy lines on occasion;the word types were affected by materials and carving tools,forming natural beauty.Most structures were flat with the center of gravity down.The strokes changed freely.The styles were indefinite.The whole text was either integrated or ranked.There was consistency between words,producing a vertical force.
