The application of nitrous oxide inhalation se-dation in dentistry is widely used and proved to be very effec-tive and safe. However,with its increasing use in recent years in China,the importance of safety should be emphasized. The article reviewed both experiential opinions and published guidelines in this field,provided comprehensive practical mea-surements and techniques in risk control in the whole clinical process of nitrous oxide inhalation sedation.
