全球气候变化引发的海平面上升、海洋环境改变等使得诸多岛礁的“存亡”受到极大的威胁，在我国南海海域，部分岛礁同样面临着海平面上升所引发的一系列问题的影响和人为活动的破坏。岛礁的部分或全部“消失”会使沿海国的领海、毗连区、专属经济区等海域的范围改变，进而可能引发相邻或相向的国家间的海洋权益矛盾或加剧现存争端。在南海，我国与海上邻国存在着岛礁主权争端和海域划界纠纷。在这种情况下，我国更应当采取有效措施，保护南海岛礁，使其避免遭受“消失”的厄运。本文在分析气候变化及人为因素对南海岛礁影响的基础上，思考保护我国南海岛礁的意义，并提出相关的对策建议和保护措施。

Global climate change results in the sea-level rise and the change of ocean environment, which chal-lenge the survival of the islands and rocks, especially those only appearing above the sea level in the low tides. Some islands and rocks in South China Sea now face the impact of a series of problems due to the sea-level rise and the damage of human activities. The partial or complete disappearance of the islands and rocks will alter the boundaries of territorial sea, contiguous zone and exclusive economic zone in the coastal countries. Moreover, it may also trigger the disputes over the maritime rights or exacerbate the existing ones among the adjacent or oppo-site countries. In South China Sea, the disputes over the sovereignty of islands and rocks and the demarcation of sea waters have existed between China and other sea-adjacent countries. Under this circumstance, China is sup-posed to take effective measures to rescue South China Sea islands and rocks from the fate of submergence. Ana-lyzing the impact of climate change and human factors on South China Sea islands and rocks, the paper reflects on the significance of defending them and puts forward the relevant suggestions and protection countermeasures.
