外宣翻译是跨文化交际不可或缺的元素，具有鲜明的文化特性，进行外宣材料的翻译过程在更深层面上是一种跨文化交流。由于文化差异和译者个人水平等问题造成外宣翻译错误屡见不鲜，使得外宣效果适得其反。外宣翻译中应坚持“三贴近”原则，存异求同，运用整合技巧，同时强化外宣翻译人才的培养，提高译者素质。

External propaganda translation( EPT) is an integral element of intercultural communication with distinct cultural identities, on a deeper level, EPT is the process of intercultural communication. EPT errors often occur, which would make external propaganda counter-productive, By analying some factors, such as cultural differences and translators' ability, the author proposed some strategies from the perspectives of“closeness principle”,“integration skills”, and “enhancement of talent”.
