为青岛即墨周至元先生及其后人所保存的《八九鸣》手抄本,主体部分为诗歌,另有少量词和文。抄本作者,曾被误认为是周至元。但综合周至元《崂山志》、蓝水《崂山古今谈》选诗及《八九鸣》中作品看,该抄本作者应为由清入民的寒士沈煦。由于史料缺失,沈煦生平多已汨没无闻,大致可以考知,他擅诗能文,一生潦倒困顿,晚年来到即墨,长期借住佛寺,以授徒维持生计,颇受佛教思想影响。因此,《八九鸣》不仅记录了一个末世底层知识分子的心路历程,是青岛近代以来文学发展的重要组成部分,对于了解晚清、民国时期的青岛文化,也具有重要的价值。

위청도즉묵주지원선생급기후인소보존적《팔구명》수초본,주체부분위시가,령유소량사화문。초본작자,증피오인위시주지원。단종합주지원《로산지》、람수《로산고금담》선시급《팔구명》중작품간,해초본작자응위유청입민적한사침후。유우사료결실,침후생평다이골몰무문,대치가이고지,타천시능문,일생로도곤돈,만년래도즉묵,장기차주불사,이수도유지생계,파수불교사상영향。인차,《팔구명》불부기록료일개말세저층지식분자적심로역정,시청도근대이래문학발전적중요조성부분,대우료해만청、민국시기적청도문화,야구유중요적개치。
The transcript of Bajiuming, kept by Mr. Zhou Zhiyuan from Jimo, Qingdao, consists of a large number of poems and some ci-poems and prose texts. Analysis of it shows that its true author is Shen Xu, a poor scholar in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. Little is known of his life except that he was a down-cast poet who migrated to Jimo in his later years. He was greatly inlfuenced by Buddhism since he stayed for a long time in the temple, teaching disciples as a living. The newly discovered work, which recorded his literary career and mentality, is an important part of Qingdao literature and of great value to researchers of Qingdao culture of the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.
