China is rich in renewable energy resource and has large potential in utilizing renewable energy. This paper summarized the policy response, development trend and emerging problems in the area of renewable energy development and utilization, since the"Long-term Scientiifc and Technological Development Plan (2006-2020)"implementation, and provided policy suggestions on future development.
