阐述了STS教育的理念,指出将该理念渗透到理工科学生的专业基础课程教学过程中的必要性。并以作者所从事的物理化学课程教学改革实践为例,提出在教学过程中鼓励学生思考STS,即科学-技术-社会这三者之间的关系,使学生们建立一种新型的价值观,抛弃以往传统的只注重科学技术的经济价值而忽视其社会文化价值的价值观和思维方式,树立起科学技术与社会可持续发展的意识。

The concept of STS education was described,and the necessary of infiltrating this educational concept into the teaching innovation of basic courses for the science and engineering students in college was pointed out.Furthermore,taking Physical Chemistry the course as the example,it was indicated that teachers should encourage the students to consider the STS,as well as the relationship between the science,technology and society.This work can help the students to establish the new notion of abandoning the traditional that focued only on the economic value of science and technology while ignoring the social and cultural values,and to build up the conception of sustainable development for science,technology and society.
