The decision result about type of dry and damp subgrade soil provides road design basis in municipal road engineering survey. In this paper, analysis and comparison the judging standard of relevant speciifcations is given. Combining with municipal road engineering survey practice, some problems and matters needing attentions during decision the type of dry and damp subgrade soil is provided.
