The common reason of frequent starting, stopping and defrosting of automobile air-conditioner at idle condition was summarized in the paper. Experimental study was carried out to one automobile air-condition system. According to the experiments, the improper setting of the parameter which control evaporating temperature was the main cause of frequent starting and stopping of automobile air-conditioner. By analyzing the influence on heat transfer of the parameter, the parameter was optimized. The experimental results show that the system works well and the problem of frequent starting of automobile air-conditioner is solved after optimizing the control parameter of evaporating temperature.
