Although there are a few English versions of the Doctrine of the Mean, each has its own characteristics and translation purpose. In this text, key chapters of this book are analyzed contrastively and the translation methods and strategies in three ver-sions are found out, so that it’s hopeful to make a contribution to the development and appreciation of the Chinese classics.
