文冠果（Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge.）系无患子科文冠果属落叶小乔木，也可栽培为高大乔木。文冠果是我国特有的优良木本油料树种，种子含油量为45%～50%，种仁含油量为70%。油黄色而透明，食用味美，具药用功效，油饼可作饲料和肥料。文冠果株形优美，花、叶俱佳，花序大、花朵密，春天白花满树且有光洁秀丽的绿叶相衬，花期可持续20多天，具有较高的观赏价值，是优良的绿化树种。
