Mathematics is a compulsory course in junior high school education, as it can improve students' logical thinking and enhance their ability to solve problems. In the teaching process, there are a lot of problems for students, so it is a challenging sub-ject for some students. This paper introduced a new mathematics teaching model-diagnostic teaching, and made a detailed elab-oration on methods, measures and effects of the model.
