降钙素原（Procalcitonin， PCT）是一项新的炎症指标，近年来PCT检测有助于感染性疾病的诊断和治疗，通过检测其血清浓度可早期诊断感染性疾病，评价感染的严重程度，指导用药及判断预后。本文简要介绍PCT在危重病中的临床应用。

As a new indicator of inflammation, procalcitonin (PCT) has been reported to be helpful in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases in recent years . By detecting the concentration of serum PCT , it can help to diagnosis the infectious diseases at early period , evaluate the severity of infection, guide the medication and indicate the prognosis .In this paper, the main purpose was to introduce the clinical application of PCT in critically ill patients .
