The backfilling area, with the area of about 4 hm2 and total amount of about 450 thousand m3 , for 500 kV switch station of N-J Hydropower Station in Pakistan is located on the right bank of Agar Nullah River and the compactness is required to be 98%. According to the requirement to the large backfilling area by international engineers, through backfilling and rolling test, the parameters of backfilling thickness for different layers, rolling times, the maximum dry density, the optimal water con-tent etc. were determined. The backfilling construction method and key technological points are introduced in detail from the view of practical construction.
