Through the calculation analysis on horizontal and vertical illuminance of bookshelves lighting in library, the paper gives the relationship between them and veriifed the relationship by ifeld measurements for reference, the vertical illuminance values are translated into horizontal illuminance values. The relationship is proved by measurement and can provide reference to designers.
