The paper gives the positive comments on the importance of the shearing wall structure in the high-rise buildings,discusses the weak points for the design of the shearing wall structure,concludes the importance of the shearing wall structure as the first defending line for the anti-seismic design,discusses and compares the existing coupling wall design scheme and the exploring schemes,and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of all the design schemes by combining with the examples for the engineering programs,so as to points out some suggestions for the coupling design.
