HEA304 is a kind of low carbon austenitic stainless steel with good high temperature performance and corrosion resistance, and radiation resistance which is mainly used for nuclear reactor core material. Through studying the slag system and remelting process, the electroslag remelting slag system and key technology points are determined, and then followed by forging, heat treating, high quality HEA304 forgings for nuclear materials can be produced which meet the requirements of the standard.
