当今社会是处在经济社会发展转型时期,大学教育面临着新的发展和挑战。如何进一步发挥大学教育的功能,培养更多的创新性人才和知识型人才,是当前高等教育研究的重要内容。从纽曼其人、其书、其思三方面研读纽曼19世纪的大学教育思想理念,在此基础上提出对当代大学教育发展的一点启示。
噹今社會是處在經濟社會髮展轉型時期,大學教育麵臨著新的髮展和挑戰。如何進一步髮揮大學教育的功能,培養更多的創新性人纔和知識型人纔,是噹前高等教育研究的重要內容。從紐曼其人、其書、其思三方麵研讀紐曼19世紀的大學教育思想理唸,在此基礎上提齣對噹代大學教育髮展的一點啟示。

Today’s society is in the period of transformation of economic and social development, and universities are facing new opportunities and challenges. Therefore, it is a important issue for higher education research how to improve the function of a university and how to cultivate more creative talents and knowledgable talents. The paper discusses Newman’s thoughts and ideas on college education in 19th century from the perspective of his lifetime, his book and his thoughts in order to put forward some inspirations for the development of contemporary universities finally.
