Treatment method of expensive soil was one of the key technical problems of the South-to-North Water Diver-sion Project. It has high technical difficulty and high quality requirements to deal with expensive soil. Treatment method of channel drainage in the segment with expensive soil was also one of the difficulties of project management. This paper pro-vides optimization design of treatment measures for expensive soil and channel drainage of the deep cut segment with ex-pensive soil of Handan-to-Xingtai Section in South-to-North Water Diversion Project. The results of this paper can give some references to the similar projects.
