The causes for an oil ejection accident from the pressure relief valve in the main transformer in Shuibuya hy -dropower station are analyzed .The reason for the action of pressure relief valves , the processing procedure after the switch turns off , the volume calculation method for transformers which can adjust with the oil temperature , and the chec-king technique for oil level meters are discussed .At last, prevention measures are suggested for such non-electrical faults of the main transformer .
