Lemon is rich in nutrition and bioactive compounds , and it has important nutritional , medicinal and health -care values.The multiple active constituents of lemon , such as flavonoids , limonoids, monoterpenes and coumarins , have antioxidative and anticancer effects .This paper systematically summarizes the research progress in the anticancer active constituents of lemon in recent years , for the sake of providing new information for the further exploitation and utilization of lemon resources .
