The calculation method of stability against overturning and ground bearing capacity is introduced in detail, which can be found in Japanese Standards on celled steel sheet pile structure. The method is of clear concept, fast calculation speed, and the adaptability to engineering calculation. In the calculation of stability against overturning, four classic stressed models are put forward in consideration of the geometrical features and stressed characteristics of celled steel sheet piles as well as different run-on points. The influence of eccentric tilting load on ground is considered in the calculation of ground bearing capacity. The compiled computing program and relevant software are used to check the engineering cases, which have been described in the reference literature. In addition,the method is applied in the structural calculation of artificial island cofferdam of one sea-crossing bridge,which proves further the correctness of the above method and program.
