The structural characteristics of new flexible floating breakwater are introduced as key points. Indoor physical model test is made in order to get the transmission coefficient of the flexible floating breakwater under regular wave, discuss the influence of wave period, wave height and breakwater width on wave dissipation performance of new flexible floating breakwater. The research result shows that new flexible floating breakwater is of better wave dissipation performance than traditional breakwater,the former is able to decrease long-period wave and short-period wave effectively.
