Based on the elevation measurement project of groundwatermonitoringwellofreal-timemonitoringsystemforwaterresourcesinShijiazhuangCitybyGPSstaticmeasurementasanexample, thispaperdiscussestheGPSstaticmeasurementprinciple,advantagesandlimitations,andtheimplementationstepsfortheGPSnetworkestab-lishment and measurement, and the ways and steps for measurement data processing and adjustment computation. According to the results of GPS static survey contrast, GPS static measurement can meet requirements of the elevation accuracy of groundwater monitoring well.
