The analysis of the linear structures construction experience in the cold regions of Russia is pres-ented.Special attention is paid to the problems of construction and operation of linear structures on the perma-frost, the main factors negatively affecting the construction and operation of linear structures are identified , measures to address the technical stability of linear structures within permafrost are suggested .
