梳理了古代“中和”美论的起源及其三个发展阶段，并在此基础上，联系社会发展实际，对“中和”美论进行了辩证思考和恰当的评价：批评了“美即和谐”与“美在冲突”的两种错误倾向，阐述了美即“和谐的冲突”或“平衡的动态”的观点。

This paper reviews the origin and the three developing stages of the ancient aesthetic theory“neutralization”. By depend-ing on the actual situation of social development,the author conducts dialectical reflections and appropriate evaluation for“neutraliza-tion”,criticizing two erroneous tendencies,“Beauty is Harmony”and“Beauty is conflict”,and elaborating the view that beauty is“harmo-nious conflict”or“dynamic equilibrium”.
