The long chain alcohol acrylate have gained enormous attention among material chemists over the years because of their three-dimensional effect and hydrophilic or hydrophobic macromolecule. They can be used as synthetic organic monomer of various polymers. In this paper, the synthesis methods of long chain alcohol acrylate were reviewed, which provided a fundamental base for the application in biological medicine, materials, surface active agent, etc.
