Aiming at the demand that IPv4 is transmitted through IPv6 core network,the scheme that Transmission of IPv4 over IPv6 Domains with Tunnels is presented.In particular,the module,control flow,data flow,and software/hardware implementation environments of the technology of IPv4 over IPv6 tunneling are discussed.Differences between three technologies,namely the proposed scheme,IPv6 VPN tunneling based on MPLS and NAT-PT are also analyzed.Finally,the configuration and function validation in the test network are described.
